Fast Cat & Dash Dogs
Training & Competitions
We are pleased to be hosting Fast Cat tests & Dash Dog Trials as well as Fun Runs/Training at Stone Pony Ranch. We run all year long and during the summer months, we hold our tests and training at night, under lights on a fast track with electronic timers.
Fast CAT, a timed 100-yard dash where a dog chases a lure, is the newest AKC event. The event is a fun and healthy activity for dogs and their owners, and is open to dogs that are at least 12 months of age and are individually registered or listed with the AKC.
In competition, the dogs run one at a time over a straight 100-yard course. Their times are then converted into miles per hour and used as part of a handicap system to assign points earned, which will be used to determine titles and standings.

Dash Dogs, is a new organization that is also a timed 100-yard dash and an added class of a 50-yard dash where a dog chases a lure. The event is a fun and healthy activity for dogs and their owners, and is open to dogs that are at least 6 months of age and are registered with Dash Dogs.
In competition, the dogs run one at a time over a straight 50-yard or 100-yard course. Their times are then converted into miles per hour and used as part of a handicap system to assign points earned, which will be used to determine titles and standings.
